Follow Walk 1 from (A) to (D). At point D, turn left and walk a third of the way up the left side of the field until you reach a gateway on leading onto a minor road. Cross the road (take caution), walking approx. 30 metres to the gateway opposite and into the next field. Keeping the hedge on your left, follow this field this field around the next large gateway in the far corner. You will now be in a stock pen at the bottom of a large hay field with multiple large oak trees. At the top of the stock pen, take the gate on the left into the adjacent field. Follow the field margin around to the left until you reach the gateway at the top, next a Cwrt-y-Prior House. Continue back into the hay field and join a gravel track (G) – follow this until you reach the minor road (H). Turn right down the road (take caution), past Pencaemaen House on the left, then take the next gateway on your left. Walk to the bottom of the field.
At this point (I) you can extend your walk by following Walk 3. Alternatively go through the gate into the next field, then walk approx. three-quarters of the way down the left of next field. Take the gateway into the adjacent field on your left, then walk along the bottom of this field past the buildings on your right until you reach the gates that rejoin the gravel track and Walk 1 at (E). Follow Walk 1 from (E) back to (A).
