Starting at Llangorse Multi Activity Centre (A), return to the entrance. Cross the minor road and take the left-hand gate into the field. Keeping the hedge on your left, walk to the bottom of the field and take the gate onto a gravel track. Turn right along the gravel track until you reach the next gate on your left (B). Go through the gate into the field, then turn right and following the field margin to your right. Take the next gate on the right (across a small stream), then continue to the right. You will now be passing Eligro Nature Reserve and Wetlands Area to your right (C). Walking around the top of the field, you will reach another small gate in the hidden in the corner. Go through the gate – you will immediately cross a stream with a small pool below you on your left. Follow this field to the left until you reach the double gates at the top. Cross the gravel track here into the next large field. At this point (C), you can extend your walk via Walk 2 on your left, or continue with Walk 1 on your right.
To continue, walk 200 metres up the right hand side of the field, then go through the gate into the adjacent field. Turn left and walk to the top of the field. Turn around here and enjoy the view across Llangorse Lake with the Brecon Beacons in the distance. Continue back down the field to the gates at the bottom (E).
Turn left here and back onto the gravel track. Walk the gravel track to the end, then retrace your steps back to the activity centre at point A via the field on your left.
